A restaurant in New York, United States broke its tenth Guinness World Record.

According to news agency United Press International, the most recent record involves a $200 French fries.

With that, Serendipity3 created the world’s most expensive French fries to coincide with National French Fry Day.

Creme de la Creme Pommes Frites features ingredients including Chipperbeck potatoes and Dom Perignon Champagne.

The record-breaking dish also has a topping of 23-karat edible gold dust on it.

The restaurant previously landed the world’s largest wedding cake and most expensive ice cream sundae.

Meanwhile, a restaurant in Paris, France offers a menu not suitable for the faint-heated people.

Laurent Veyet has, for one, a prawn salad with yellow mealworm, crunchy insects on a bed of vegetables.

“There are some really interesting flavors. Not many people could say they don’t like that,” the Parisian chef said.

The European Food Safety Agency has deemed the mealworm fit for human consumption and approved its sale on the market.

The agency has also fielded more than a dozen other applications for insect-based food products.

“I feel like I am in a traditional restaurant except the concept is different,” diner Soheil Ayari said.
