A customer at a post office in Florida, United States discovered a 7-foot alligator in the lobby.

According to news agency United Press International, the witness just came in to mail a package.

Sheriff’s deputies and a wildlife trapper immediatedly responded to the scene to address the issue,

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office deployed personnel after a patron reported a gator wandering in the lobby.

Authorities said the post office has automatic double doors that likely allowed the alligator easy entry into the building.

A wildlife trapper eventually escorted the gator out of the building, the sheriff’s office said.

Meanwhile, firefighters in Florida received a “special visitor” in the form of an alligator.

According to various news reports posted online, they ended up acting as wildlife wranglers.

The Bonita Springs Fire Control and Rescue District then took to social media app Facebook to share what happened.

It said personnel stationed at Fire Station 26 spotted the “special visitor” wandering around the facility.

“This charming fellow took a little tour of the firefighters’ bay and liked it so much,” the post said.

Firefighters then ended up acting on their own to “gently encourage” the alligator to make its way across the street.
