Belgian Woman Banned from Zoo for Having a 4-Year AFFAIR With a CHIMPANZEE

A zoo in Belgium banned one regular visitor after she claimed a four-year affair with their chimpanzee.

Adie Timmermans admitted that she was having a relationship with a 38-year-old male chimpanzee named Chita.

The woman believes that they have forged a bond that they now love each other.

“I love that animal, and he loves me,” tells Ms. Adie to ATV Belgium.

Furthermore, Ms. Adie was visiting the chimp every week for four years.  People would reportedly say they would blow kisses and wave to each other through the walls.

“I haven’t got anything else. Why do they want to take that [chimpanzee] away,” she asks.

Additionally, she also finds it unfair that others can still visit Chita.

“We’re having an affair, I’ll just say,” she added.

Unfortunately, the zoo has to ban the woman because Chita becomes isolated from his fellow apes.

“When Visitors constantly surround Chita, the other animals ignore him and don’t consider him part of the group,” zoo curator Sarah Lafaut told ATV.

Meanwhile, Sarah also explains that an “animal that is too focused on people is less respected by its peers.”

Originally a pet, its owners donated Chita to the wildlife facility and has spent 30 years in captivity.
