California Truck Driver Wins $1M Powerball JACKPOT

A truck driver in California, United States recently won a $1 million Powerball jackpot.

According to news agency United Press International, he found his route through Florida lucky.

59-year-old Quang Vo from El Monte, said he frequently buys lottery tickets on his route.

“I try to buy a lottery ticket in every state I pass through when I’m on the road,” Vo told reporters.

It paid off when a Powerball ticket he bought from the Ocala Stopping Center matched all the winning numbers.

“You never know when you could be a winner,” the driver said when asked about his message to the public.

Meanwhile, the winning lottery ticket of a man from Michigan, United States nearly ended up in the trash.

According to various news reports posted online, he misread it as a losing ticket.

The 74-year-old man bought a few $500,000 Jumbo Cash tickets from the a gas station in Grand Rapids.

In an interview, he shared that these almost ended up in the trash before he realized he missed an important detail.

“I scratched the ticket off and thought it was a loser. I looked it over one more time before throwing it, he added.
