Police in Malaysia raided a “wild party” which apparently happened inside a police station.

Reports said the police in late July arrested eight individuals. They were having a wild party inside the police station in Kajang, a town in Selangor, Malaysia. Among those apprehended are four civilian women and four police officers, including the police chief himself.

Authorities said they found them inside the room for recreation and relaxation, with the interior designed like a nightclub.

In the report, a team of officers from Bukit Aman Standards Compliance Integrity Department (JIPS) raided the station. They responded after receiving complaints from the neighborhood. When they arrived, they saw the group dancing while singing along in the karaoke. They were also consuming alcohol and ketum drinks. The officers also confiscated pornographic materials from the captured police force.

JIPS Director Datuk Azri Ahmad said the arrested police officers clearly didn’t follow the country’s current strict COVID-19 protocols as cases surge due to the new Delta variant.

“The actions of the officers, members and the public involved who entertained in a room at the hall with respect to karaoke were against the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP).”

He then added: “We will not compromise with any party if they actually violated the rules or SOPs set.”
