Dog Picks Up WOODCHUCK in Massachusetts Lake

A dog in Massachusetts, United States picked up an unexpected passenger in the water, a hitchhiking woodchuck.

According to news agency United Press International, the pet owner captured the incident in a video.

Lauren Russell said her 2-year-old golden retriever, Wally, encountered a woodchuck while swimming in Hickory Hills Lake.

“[A] woodchuck I think just crawled right up on his back and he swam back to shore with him,” Russell said.

In the video, Wally swims back to shore with the woodchuck on his back and did not seem to mind having a passenger.

“He didn’t even care. He like took a peek back on his back and then just kept swimming,” Russell shared.

Meanwhile, A 17-year-old girl in California shoved a mother bear off a brick wall to rescue her dogs.

According to various news reports posted online, a security camera recorded the incident.

The footage shows three dogs in the enclosed yard becoming agitated and barking at a mother bear.

The mother bear then swats at the dogs as they approach to bark at the wild animals.

Hailey Morinico immediately ran into the yard, shoving the bear off the wall and gathering up the dogs.
