According to the Daily Mail, the glamorous fraudster Xiaoxin Zeng, 30, approached the warm-hearted international students at shopping centers and casinos and forced them to withdraw money and give them to her.

Student visa holder Zheng claimed to her victims she had not received her debit card yet. Nevertheless, she promised to pay them back once she got her card.

During those incidents, she showed screenshots that her claim is already in process. However, those images were actually fake and the money never arrived at her victims’ banks.

The glamorous fraudster would also do the same to others so they would hand her over the luxury goods. These include Bvlgari necklaces, Gucci handbags, Burberry coats, and Apple iPhones.

Later on, her victims banded together and thought of a clever trap to set her up.

Members of the WeChat group “Xiaoxin ZENG pay us back our money” placed a fake ad for a luxury product on a website in June 2019. She then took the bait and agreed to meet at Sydney’s Town Hall to purchase the item.

When she showed up to the meeting place, her 20 victims immediately surrounded her. While she was not arrested at that time, she shortly fled from New South Wales then Queensland.

Currently, the WeChat group is composed of her 70 victims with losses from amounting about $200,000.
