According to the Daily Mail, the British city is the third most monitored city in the world, with 67 cameras per 1000 people always watching every movement. Currently, there are 627,707 CCTV monitors set up across the capital.

This means that for every kilometer a person walks, 399 cameras could have captured your movements.

Meanwhile, the first and second in the list are Beijing and Shanghai, respectively.

Beijing has 1.15 million cameras as the Communist Party pushes China’s capital under a Big Brother surveillance style. Meanwhile, Shanghai has one million CCTV cameras.

China has been building a mass surveillance network, while it boasts being the world’s most powerful facial-recognition system.

Nevertheless, London still has the most cameras for its citizens, having one camera with every 1000 people; Beijing only has 56 cameras while Shanghai only has 36 per 1000 people.
