Loose COW Results in Highway Closure in England

Authorities in England closed down a busy highway temporarily due to a loose cow.

According to news agency United Press International, “idiots” forced a farmer’s gate open and allowed the cow to escape.

The Central Motorway Police Group it deployed personnel alongside Highways England workers late Tuesday night.

Police officers took to Twitter to say that the cow escaped when “idiots forced [and] left a farmer’s gate open.”

Officers corraled the cow behind a gate and escorted the bovine home with the help of local farmers who came to the scene to help.

Meanwhile, a dump truck loaded with cow manure in Florida, United States caused poop to spill into the roadway.

According to various news reports posted online, the Florida Highway Patrol closed a section of interstate.

The FHP said the dump truck and a semi truck at mile marker 198 in the northbound lanes figured in a crash.

The unusual incident happened along Interstate 95 near Rockledge in Brevard County on Tuesday.

Authorities reported no injuries but the dump truck’s load of cow poop spilled out onto the road.

They diverted the traffic from the interstate at Fiske Boulevard until lanes reopened.
