An angler in Australia accidentally hooked a giant crocodile while fishing in the continent’s Northern Territory.

According to media company NDTV, the man, named Trent de With, and his family went to a popular fishing spot near the town of Katherine.

There they witnessed an unusual incident that they will never forget in their entire lives.

De With shared a video of it wherein he struggles to get his lure back from the wild crocodile that refuses to let go.

The reptile leaps out of the water several times while holding tight onto the lure.

“You can accidentally hook them, this one seemed like he actually tried to eat it,” said de With in an interview.

The footage has gone viral on Facebook, collecting over 1.5 million views and thousands of comments.

Also in Australia, wildlife rangers captured an enormous crocodile the size of a car at a popular tourist spot.

Reports stated that the male saltwater crocodile measures 4.4 meters long and weighs around 350 kilograms.

Pictures and videos online show the huge reptile tied down, blindfolded and blanketed on an extended car trailer.
