A man from Norway grabbed hold of a horizontal bar and assumed the dead hang position for 16 minutes and 3 seconds.

According to news agency United Press International, he beat the Guinness World Record by more than two minutes.

Harald Riise managed to dead hang from the bar for 16 minutes and 3 seconds in Baerum, Viken.

Riise broke the record of 13 minutes and 52 seconds from Italian man Tazio Gavioli in 2018.

“I wanted to show both myself and others that it was possible, and I’m thrilled that I succeeded,” he said.

Riise, a wheelchair user with cerebral palsy, said he spent more than 10 hours a week training for to beat the record.

Meanwhile, a man from Ontario set Guinness World Record for opening 24 beverage cans in one minute by just using his jaw.

Chucky Mady, 32, a mixed martial arts fighter from Windsor used his strong jaw to tear the caps off the beverage cans.

Mady is no stranger to doing this since 16 years old but he decided to take on the world record only a few years ago.

“I’ve been doing it for years, just messing around, party tricks,” Mady says.
