An online shopper in the Philippines became viral in early November this year for taking his Proof of Delivery to a whole new level.

Online shopper John Carlo Ison posted on his Facebook account his high-fashion “proof of delivery” photos. In the photos, he posed like in a magazine pictorial wearing a sleek maroon suit while the surprised delivery man takes a photo of him.

One of the online shopping practices in the Philippines include taking parcel recipient’s photos taken as proof of delivery. But as most of the Filipinos are stuck at home since the pandemic, most of them received their deliveries while wearing their house clothes.

He said he always looks grumpy and strang whenever he receives his parcels. But on November 13 when he got a text message saying he will receive his delivery that day, he put an effort to “dress well.”

“Dressing well is a form of good manners,” Mr. Ison quotes American fashion designer Tom Ford as he ends his caption.

As of the writing, his post has over 70,000 likes, 40,000 shared, and over 9,900 comments.

In an interview with Tripzilla, the online shoppe said he jokingly said he always wanted to make a scene. “I feel like other delivery men will now expect me to dress up when they go to my house,” he said to the media outlet.
