A giant panda who just turned five in early August this year celebrated her birthday at a zoo in Central China with his favorite bamboo cake.

According to the Global Times report, Chunqiao had her second birthday at the Wuhan Zoo in Hubei Province. His feeders in the early morning gave him his favorite bamboo cake.

The cake has two layers of bamboo leaves and five bamboo shoots. The cake also has his favorite fruits as side decorations which include apples and bananas.

Chunqiao sniffed the cake for a while then ate an apple first. Then she broke down the cake into pieces and immediately finished it up.

Visitors also joined Chunqiao’s birthday. They stood outside her showroom and took pictures. They sang birthday songs while the giant panda enjoyed her delicious cake.

Meanwhile, his breeder identified as Mr. Cao said he wants Chunqiao to finally meet her partner soon.

To help visitors learn more about Chunqiao’s daily life, the feeder put her food, shed her hair. He even displayed her poop to the public.

He also shared to the local media that he cleans the animal’s waste three to four times a day. He said it actually “smells delicate.”

“Giant pandas are not like most animals. Their wastes have the fragrance of bamboo,” he said.
