A Swiss man earned a Guinness World Record for combining his hobbies of golf and running.

According to news agency United Press International, Jurg Randegger played 252 holes of golf in 12 hours.

Randegger took to the links at Ostschweizerischen Golf Club in Niederburen, Switzerland.

There, he played the entire course 14 times through in 12 hours to set the record.

Randegger performed the feat on foot, as the Guinness has banned the use of a golf cart.

“Jurg attempted this record not only for his love of running and golf but also to bring awareness,” the Guinness said.

The world record attempt raised money and sponsorships for Special Olympics Switzerland.

Meanwhile, a golfer from Arizona, United States has broken a world record and raised money for charity.

According to various news reports online, he hit 1,050 drives at least 200 yards inside a 35-yard grid.

The man, named Bob Kurtz, went to the TopGolf Scottsdale driving range to attempt to hit 1,000 drives in a total of 12 hours.

Guinness rules stipulated each of his drives had to travel at least 200 yards and remain within a 35-yard-wide grid.
