A woman from North Carolina, United States split a $305,046 lottery jackpot prize with herself.

According to news agency United Press International, she accidentally purchased two tickets for the same lottery drawing.

Susan Gray meant to purchase tickets for two separate Carolina Cash 5 drawings.

“It was really an accident that I played both. I was really shocked. I couldn’t believe it,” Gray said.

She ended up winning the entire $305,046 jackpot for the Saturday drawing because she held the only two winning tickets.

The woman said both tickets bore the set of numbers she always uses for Cash 5 tickets, which is her birthday.

Meanwhile, a man from South Carolina, United States won a $300,000 lottery jackpot after an unusual experience.

According to various news reports posted online, he needed to buy gas for his lawnmower.

“It’s weird how it happened,” the man recalled with reporters during an interview.

He stopped at Chris Corner in St. George to fill up a gas can and decided to make a second stop to buy ice.

However, he found that the card reader at the second store was broken so he could not use it.
