A woman in Chiang Rai called the authorities for 227 times in a week for a supernatural emergency.

In her calls, she reported that a ghost kept breaking into her house nonstop. She also insisted that police should help her.

Nevertheless, the Royal Thai Police officers upheld their duty and visited the woman’s house several times even though they always leave empty-handed.

By March 30, she had already made 227th call to the local police station. In the most recent call, the police decided to go back. But as expected, they found no traces of supernatural crime in her home.

This prompted the woman to personally visit the station and make an in-person report. In her statement, the woman mentione the use of “black magic” in breaking and entering.

The police also assisted the woman to the hospital for a mental examination and a resistance from her in response.

Later on Police Corporal Siratee Jit came up with an idea of using superstitious methods to close her case.

The police then offered a Kwai Tanu – a sacred object translated to “arrow buffalo” in English. It is an amulet for reversing black magic and also ysed for house cleansing ritual.

While this is a first of its kind case, the police said they felt content that woman already felt safe.
