Woman Drives Toy Car with NEON LIGHTS in a Highway to ‘Save Time’

A woman in southern China drives a toy car with neon lights on a busy crossroad in mid-December this year.

The Daily Mail reported the motorist spotted driving the fake vehicle making a swift turn on the on the junction in the city of Quanzhou.

Officers identified the woman as “auntie.” She claimed she was trying to save time transporting the toy car to a local park for hire.

Authorities reported that Ms. Lu worked at a toy store, which rented toy cars to children at a local park. 

During that night, her boss asked her to take the pink replica to the park from the shop. But instead of travelling by foot, she went to the destination using the toy car with neon lights.

Officers later on gave the auntie a reprimand for her action and confiscated the fake vehicle.

In a viral CCTV footage, the toy car can be seen moving along the road before making a smooth turn on the junction. As of this writing, the clip garnered over 3,200 views.

One commenter said the toy car glowing with pink lights is enough to get attention. Meanwhile, another Weibo user said: “The road is not an amusement park. Casually driving the toy vehicle is very dangerous and careless.”
