A woman from China who had a CT scan after a car accident was shocked after finding 2 needles embedded deep in her brain.

According to the India Times report, the woman identified with the surname Zhu, 29, from Zhengzhou, Henan Province received advice to get a CT scan to ensure no internal damage after meeting a minor car accident recently.

While there were no injuries found related to the accident, doctors discovered 2 large needles inside her brain. The needles were about 5 centimeters long with about 4.9 millimeters in width, stuck in the woman’s skull.

When asked about the bizarre discovery, Ms. Zhu could not find any explanation for the needles. Further, she said she never had any surgery on her head in the past. She also did not remember ever feeling unwell or having any unexplained headaches.

Later on, the doctors speculated that the needles were inserted early in her childhood. They also thought that the woman did not experience any pain as the needles were thin and not embedded in any important “function area” of the skull.

The report revealed that Ms. Zhu’s parents found out there were 2 black spots on her head when they adopted her from a couple during travel.

Meanwhile, Ms. Zhu reported the findings of the CT scan to the local police.
