A woman from North Carolina, United States found a rare two-headed snake inside her house in Alexander County.

According to media company NDTV, the resident, named Jeannie Wilson, estimated its length at about a foot long.

Wilson immediately called his son-in-law to rescue the unusual reptile upon spotting it near a table.

“I’m not crazy, guys. He’s got two heads. When he got there, he said, ‘He does have two heads,'” she said.

The two caught the two-headed snake and then decided to put it safely inside a jar.

Wilson later on took to Facebook to share a video of the snake, revealing that she had nicknamed it “Double Trouble.”

“[A]nybody out there know of a place that would take Double Trouble and care for him/her or should I turn it loose? It’s not poisonous,” she wrote.

The Catawba Science Center eventually took the reptile, which was identified as baby black rat snake.

According to the science center, the snake’s two heads are rare, occurring in one out of every 100,000 snakes.

It plans to keep the reptile and use it in its programs for schoolchildren.
