Woman Wins LOTTERY Using Ticket Given as Family Gift

A woman from North Carolina, United States won $2 million jackpot prize in the lottery using a ticket she received as a family gift.

According to news agency United Press International, the lucky woman has the name Karen Urtecho Sandrez from Charlotte.

Sandrez shared that her friend purchased the lucky lottery ticket as a family gift from Lucia Food Mart in Stanley.

“I could not believe it, honestly. You read it and you don’t believe it,” the winner recalled to reporters.

She visited lottery headquarters and chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump sum payment of $1.2 million. 

A man from New York, United States “had to pinch” himself when he won $4 million from scratch-off lottery.

According to news agency United Press International, the winner chose to remain anonymous.

The 26-year-old man bought the $30 Worth Millions instant game ticket at a store in Dearborn.

He saw two top prizes remaining on the Worth Millions game, thinking he had good odds.

“I got a call from a friend telling me I won $4 million. I freaked out that I had to pinch myself,” the player said.

He chose to receive the prize as a one-time lump sum of about $2.5 million instead of annuity payments totaling $4 million.
